The outgoing Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun may have emerged the biggest loser of the 2019 General Elections after his fall out with his party, All Progressives Congress.

The former lawmaker and two-term Governor’s woes began on February 23rd when he lost his Senate election bid under the platform of the APC then to days later when the party announced his suspension from the party.
It was gathered that Senator Amosun’s anti-party activities in the State led to his suspension and possible expulsion from the party due to his open support for the governorship candidate of Allied People’s Movement (APM), Adekunle Akinlade. It is no longer news that the outgoing Governor failed to support the candidate of his party, APC, Dapo Abiodun.

His only hope to power was however smashed on Saturday during the Governorship and State Assembly elections as his favourite candidate lost to his former party.
Also, BlackBox Nigeria learnt that preliminary results from the State has it that out of the 26 seats in the State Assembly, APC has won 16, while APM has 6. With the latest updates, Senator Amosun might have been driven out of power.
