Residents of Ogun state have been advised to support police with necessary information required to burst crimes in the state. The Chairman of the Police Community Relations Committee in Ogun State, Ibrahim Olaniyan made this known while speaking on strategies to reduce crimes in the state.
Olaniyan who commended the federal government for supporting the police with necessary tools and equipment required to reduce crimes in the state said intelligence gathering remains a vital tool for effective policing.
Also, the patron of the association and the traditional ruler of Itori land, Oba Akorede Akamo said police is not a ghost and cannot detect criminals without information from the people. He condemned high rate of kidnappings in the country and urged youths to shun all criminal activities.
