Ogun Governor, Amosun Stops Convoy As He Joins To Rescue Accident Victims On Expressway

The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Friday stopped his convoy after seeing an accident scene, he immediately joined in the rescue mission of the victims.

In the statement released by the Ogun State Government, it was disclosed that the Governor was on his way back from the inauguration of Rotimi Akeredolu SAN as the new Governor of Ondo State.

Three victims were rescued from the accident that involved a Volkswagen car with registration number, Ondo BDR-223XA, painted in the taxi colour of Ondo State and a MAN Diesel truck, which apparently ran the taxi off the road.

The three female victims of the accident appeared to have sustained injuries on the head and this prompted the Ogun State governor to direct his security team to immediately take them to the General Hospital in Ondo town.

 

Adejuwon Soyinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Amosun disclosed that the accident victims were rejected at the public health facility because the workers were said to be on strike.

This development prompted the Governor who then directed that they should be taken to a private hospital in Ondo town where they were admitted and treated.
