Award winning rapper, Odumodublvck has addressed the viral incident that occurred during his acceptance speech at the 17th Headies Awards, where he was abruptly cut off on stage.
The rapper, who won two major awards at the ceremony including the coveted Next Rated Artist became a trending topic after refusing to leave the stage when prompted.
In a now-viral video, Odumodublvck could be seen trying to complete his speech despite the interruption, prompting a wave of reactions from fans and viewers on social media.
Breaking his silence on X, Odumodublvck revealed that his microphone was cut off because he was speaking about Jesus Christ, implying that the situation might have been different had he referenced Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
“I was talking about Jesus and they tried to shut me down,” he wrote.
“I am hundred percent sure that if I was talking about his excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu I would not have been cut off.”
Despite the dramatic moment, the rapper made it clear that he harbours no ill feelings toward the organisers of the Headies.
He praised them for eventually restoring his microphone and giving him the chance to continue his message.
“I genuinely have no bad blood towards the Headies, Rather, i am grateful they put my mic back on to spread the goslel,” he added.
Appraising God, he said, “Jesus is King. He is before now and forever.”
