The 15th Oniru of Iru Land, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal (Absiogun II) has ordered the suspension of palace officials that assaulted Prince Tijani Oniru.
In an official statement signed by the Media office of the Palace, Oba Oniru stated that he would not tolerate nor condone any act of violence and lawlessness by any of his members of staff.

He then ordered that the Palace Administrator to immediately suspend the officials involved in the incident and carry out a thorough investigation into the situation.
He however enjoins all parties involved in the dispute to desist from all forms of violence and uphold peace, law and order. The statement added that the investigation is currently being carried out by the office of the Police Area Commander, Area J and Divisional Police Officer of Maroko Police Station.
