Oba Ogunoye Wants Army Command School Established In Owo Kingdom

The Olowo of Owo, His Imperial Majesty,Oba Ajibade Gbadeges in Ogunoye , has advocated for the establishment of the Army Command Secondary School in Owo, Ondo State.

Oba Ogunoye made this advocacy when he received in audience today, the management team of Army Command Day Secondary School,Akure in his palace in Owo.

The team led by Major F.I. Adesina who hails from Ikare Akoko, Ondo State was in the palace to pay a royal homage to the monarch and congratulate him as he ascended the throne of his fore fathers.

The monarch described the Nigerian Army as an institution with onerous task of defending the territorial integrity of the country, said without mincing words, it has been discharging this role with optimum expertise required of it.

Oba Ogunoye who decried the way, the army authority had for long shortchanged Ondo State by just having only one Command School situated in Akure, whereas sister states around here are having no fewer than three, however, appealed for more of the school and one of it be sited in Owo kingdom.

He pledged to explore with relevant stakeholders, every available means in having this goal accomplished.

Earlier, the Commandant, Major Adesina who informed that, he was newly posted to the Command School, called for the assistance of the Oba in the area of sensitizing the people on the advantages of getting their children admitted in the school saying, these children are guaranteed a high level of discipline which would hitherto turn them to a distinctive persons in future.

Major Adesina said though the army is not out to solicit for fund but it became imperative that, those with necessary wherewithal are encouraged and welcomed in the provision of infrastructure to assist the school.

Also, the Unit Commander, of the FRSC in charge of Owo, Mr A. O Malomo, was in the palace on a courtesy visit.

Mr Malomo while speaking,told Oba Ogunoye that, he was in the palace to pay a royal homage and at the same time introduce himself as the newly posted officer in charge of the area.

Oba Ogunoye who thanked him for the visit, advised him and his men to be diligent and at all times exhibit a high sense of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
