Subair Enitan, the Obafemi Awolowo University student who embarked on a hand-washing marathon in pursuit of a Guinness World Record, has denied claims that she was hospitalized.

Earlier reports suggested that the 200-level student landed in the hospital after completing the wash-a-thon. A video of Enitan lying on a hospital bed with visibly wrinkled hands has surfaced on social media.

But in a video shared on the official X handle for the marathon, Enitan refuted claims of hospitalization due to exhaustion or adverse reactions to detergents, saying that she is perfectly fine.

“First of all, I’m sure you can see I’m very much okay. So to the people trending saying I landed in the hospital, I didn’t land in the hospital, and these are my hands,” she said.

“I am better. I’ve been in my house with family members and my team members. I’ve been sleeping. I woke up this evening to take pictures. I have been very fine. Just dey play o. Nothing is wrong with me.”
