The Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Mustapha Sego, has led the union’s State Executive Council and key branches in endorsing Dr. Muritala Seriki Ishola for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The endorsement, announced today at an event held at the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu International Market in Ikosi, also drew support from NURTW branches across Ikosi-Isheri and Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), both within Kosofe Constituency II.
Transport stakeholders and grassroots leaders were in attendance, signaling a coordinated show of support for Seriki’s aspiration ahead of the 2027 elections.
The backing from the influential transport union is expected to strengthen Seriki’s political footing within the constituency, as the NURTW remains a key grassroots mobilization force in Lagos politics.
Supporters at the event described the endorsement as a reflection of growing momentum behind his candidacy, highlighting what they called a unified front across the affected LCDAs.
