The final results of the 2019 presidential elections have been announced with President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC coming out tops while he was trailed by the PDP candidate, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Many observers were however curious about how the third force members will fair at the polls. The third force under observation were mostly Kingsley Moghalu of YPP, ANN’s Fela Durotoye and Sahara Reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore. However, non of these fresh politicians came close to the two leading candidates as observed by BlackBox Nigeria.
According to the results released by INEC, Dr. Obadiah Mailafia came a distant third behind President Muhammadu Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Obadiah Mailafia who is the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC polled 97,874 to be get a third place position in the contest. However, like the UEFA Champions League, it’s a winner take all situation where second or third place is inconsequential.
BlackBox Nigeria however believe Dr Obadiah Mailafia deserves high commendation for making less noise yet making a bigger impact at the polls than some perceived more popular candidates. Of the trio of Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu and Fela Durotoye, the Sahara Reporters boss made the biggest impact after placing 6th at the Presidential elections. Sowore polled a total of 33,953 votes while Moghalu polled 21,886 votes. Motivational speaker and ANN candidate, Fela Durotoye got 16,779 votes.
