No Intention To Promote Tobacco Smoking, Olamide #ClearTheAir Over Ban Of ‘Wo’

 

Olamide Adedeji, popularly known by his stage name, Olamide Badoo has reacted to the ban of his new hit track, Wo by the National Broadcasting Commission. The YBNL took to the social media to state clearly that his content means no promotion of tobacco as stated by the Health Ministry.

The track was listed among songs banned by the board which are not to be played on Nigerian airwaves again. Prior to the ban, the video whichwas released on August 16th has over 750,000 views on YouTube.

It will be recalled that the Federal Ministry of Health had warned about the visuals of the ‘Wo’ video stating that the content promoted the use of Tobacco which is responsible for death of its users.

In his reaction, Olamide said, “No intentions of promoting tobacco to get people killed. I love my people, I love my country, one love, one Nigeria #ClearTheAir Oya Wo!

Response from his fans however contravenes the ban by NBC as they still rate the song a hit that will remain on their phones.

Another fan urged the Federal Ministry of Health to do something about it sector so that ailing President Muhammadu Buhari will not need to seek for treatment in foreign land…
