By Protesters led by the leaders of organized Labour, Joe Ajaero of the Nigeria Labour Congress, and Festus Osifo of the Trade Union Congress, stormed the legislative building in Abuja, today.
The demonstrators had initially requested the security operatives stationed at the building to open the gates, allowing them to express their grievances peacefully.
However, their pleas were met with refusal, prompting the crowd to take matters into their own hands.
In a defiant act, the protesters pulled down the gates and swarmed into the assembly complex to voice their displeasure.
The scene quickly escalated as emotions ran high and tensions flared.
