In response to the escalating economic challenges faced by Nigerians, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced a two-day nationwide mass protest.

The protest is scheduled to take place on February 27 and 28.

Joe Ajaero, the NLC President, made this announcement on Friday, during a press conference held at the Labour House in Abuja.

This declaration comes after weeks of mounting tension and dissatisfaction among workers due to the prevailing economic conditions.

The NLC, in collaboration with the Trade Union Congress (TUC), had previously issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government.

Their demands center around the implementation of crucial agreements aimed at alleviating the economic hardship faced by Nigerians.

Although, the government has initiated talks with organized labor, however, the NLC appears to be unconvinced.
