NIPR  Vice President, Adeniyi Bashir Adewale becomes Acting Controller-General of Customs as President Tinubu goes tough

A former Spokesperson of the Nigeria Custom Service, Adeniyi Bashir Adewale was moments ago named the new head of the agency BlackBox Nigeria has gathered.

Adeniyi Bashir Adewale who until his appointment was the Deputy Controller-General in charge of Strategic Research and Policy takes over from Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali.

An astute Public Relations expert, Adeniyi Bashir Adewale is the current Vice President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Adeniyi served as the Customs spokesman for almost two decades before he was redeployed to the Apapa Area Command. He was promoted to the rank of Comptroller in 2017 then appointed the Deputy Commandant of the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja.

Two years later in 2019, he was appointed as the Controller in charge of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Command, Lagos.

President Tinubu on Monday sacked all service chiefs while announcing their immediate replacements.
