The Nigeria Police Force has paraded not less than 112 looters of the South African owned mall popularly known as “Shoprite” in Lagos.

According to the police, the suspects who purportedly reacted to the brutal killing of their fellow Nigerians during the Xenophobic attack in South Africa were arrested between September 3rd and 4th 2019.

The Nigerian suspects had angrily attacked and looted the mall as a revenge to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa, an act that did not go down well with the police authority mandated to provide security of lives and properties in Lagos State.

According to the Area Commander of Shangotedo, Gbolahan Olugbemi, a total of 125 suspects were arrested but 112 were found in possession of stolen goods and have all been subsequently charged to court.
