The Nine Brigade Nigerian Army on Wednesday launched a new hand-washing device in the Ikeja Catonement Onigbongbo Barracks. Blackboxnigeria gathered.

Major NF Echie, the project officer, while speaking at the event, said; following the recent outbreak of novel coronavirus in the country, the hand-washing device will help tackle the pandemic.

“This handwashing device has one thousand liters capacity, and would serve the users for a period of three days thereafter to be refilled.

” On the right side, there is a device which on pressing with your foot the liquid soap will be released, you don’t need to use your hand on anything.

“After applying the soap on your hand, press the device on the left side with your foot, and water will come out.

“Professionals have advised that washing of hands continually for 20 seconds is preferable than alcoholic based hand sanitizers.

“Immediately you finish washing your hands, you use tissue to clean your hands.” Major NF Echie said.
