#NIGERIADECIDES2019: BUHARI TAKES EARLY LEAD

The past few days has been one characterized with drama as result from the just concluded presidential polls are arriving the national collation centre in Abuja as supervised by The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC started the announcement of the results on  Sunday, 24^th Of February, 2019 with that of the Senate and House Of Representatives after which the Presidential result announcement was postponed till Monday, 25^th Of February, 2019 due to the non-availability of the results on that day.

The results announcement however resumed yesterday by 11am and so far, it’s been filled with suspense  and surprises .

The candidate of the APC, President Muhammadu Buhari so far has polled a total of 2,976,721 while the candidate of the PDP, Alh. Atiku Abubakar has polled a total of 2,700,616. The INEC has only announced results from 12 states and APC has 7 states while PDP has 5 states.

As it stands now, President Buhari is leading with a margin of 276,105 which is a very narrow one as against Alh. Atiku Abubakar.

The commission will be reconvening today by 10am.
