NGO visits Ogun NOA boss, seeks partnership on ending child trafficking

The Childhood Advancement Response And Empowerment Initiative, a non-governmental organization, on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the State Director, National Orientation Agency, Ogun State Directorate, Mr. Christopher Kolawole Obadina.

The group led by its Founder, Mr. Olakunle Sanni visited the Ogun NOA boss in his office at the Agency Headquarters, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The purpose of the visit was to seek synergy that will leverage on utilizing the Agency’s established Integrity Clubs in secondary schools across the State to build the capacity of the students and supervising teaching staff on issues of peer education, childhood advancement and empowerment especially in the promotion of safe migration and problems of trafficking in persons and smuggling of migrants bedeviling the society and other childhood related problems.

The NOA and the Childhood Advancement Response And Empowerment Initiative, both partners and state actors with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN Agency for Migration, in mitigating dangers inherent in Irregular Migration, Trafficking In Persons (TiPs) and Smuggling of Migrants (SoMs) and promoting safe migration, agreed to work together towards ensuring better and promising future for Nigerian children.
