NGO donates mini-library to Lagos home for street kids

Driven by the resolve to give back to the society, a non-governmental organization, Penner Paul Foundation, on Saturday, November 20, donated a mini-library to Gifted Steppers Home in Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the group’s pioneer, Arc. Bimbo Fajemirokun said the project was a support for the children to aid their learning, while stressing the importance of education in national development.

Fajemirokun also promised that the organisation will also provide free WiFi and other tech gadgets for the home.

Founder of Gift Steppers Home, Miss Ihuoma Harrison couldn’t hold back her excitement as she expressed gratitude to Penner Paul Foundation for the gesture.

She seized the opportunity to explain what informed her decision to set up the home to help street kids, saying she saw the need to transform the lives of these vulnerable children.

In his remarks, the guest speaker, Barr. Gabriel Gandonu harped on the relevance of knowledge in today’s world, adding that education is the best gift that can be given to children.

Kids from Gift Steppers Home also thrilled the audience with a special dance troupe performance.
