In an interview with Campus Journalists, the newly inaugurated President of the Union, Comrade Badmus Uthman A.K.A Badecious revealed plans his administration has for the lasuites. He said, “Quality representation is part of my manifesto and the newsletter which i launched today is part of it. The newsletter is for every LASU student to be kept abreast with all the information about the activities of the union and matters that concerns the entire student populace.”
In addition, the new LASUSU President, Badecious as he fondly called, said that the Union has reached an agreement on the new price with the drivers as far as the students shuttle is concerned. He said, “Campus shuttle will be reduced from 50naira to the initial 30naira due to the current economic situation. The students are not comfortable with the new price.”
Furthermore, Comrade Badmus disclosed that the newly launched LASUSU scholarship scheme is for academically sound students and the beneficiaries will be awarded with what was promised accordingly. Also, he said, a work-study scheme is an avenue for students who can multitask in terms of working with the school management and studying at the same time.
