The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning, signaling his intention to order the demolition of unlawfully constructed residences within the region.
The minister’s declaration came during his inaugural address at the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) office on Monday.
Accompanied by Mariya Mahmud, the Minister of FCT (state), Nyesom Wike emphasized his commitment to upholding the integrity of the Abuja master plan.
This master plan serves as the blueprint for the capital’s development and urbanization.
Wike, delivering his address with unwavering resolve, pledged to take strict action against any structures found to violate this comprehensive urban planning framework.
He asserted,
“If your house is situated in an unauthorized location, it will be taken down.”
