Naira Marley still in Prison custody one week after being granted bail
One week after being granted bail by an Ikoyi High Court, singer Naira Marley is still in prison custody BlackBox Nigeria has gathered.
According to correspondence reaching BBN, Naira Marley is still in custody because of his inability to provide appropriate sureties as required by the presiding judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo.

The controversial music act was granted bail in the sum of N2M with two sureties in like sum one of which must be on at least level 10 in the Federal or state civil service while the other person must have a landed property in the court’s jurisdiction.
It has however been gathered that one week after the bail conditions was set, the musician is yet to produce the sureties. It was learnt that his team hasn’t been able to get a civil servant who is willing to stand for him.

According to gatherings by our correspondent, civil servants approached to stand in for the music act have reportedly been declining due to his alleged criminal past. Another was said to have declined because he isn’t sure Naira Marley won’t jump bail.
