In a recent development, the Lagos state police have taken musician Naira Marley into custody regarding the untimely demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, who died at 27.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, officially confirmed this, adding that the arrest was made after Naira Marley’s return to Nigeria.
Hundeyin said through his Twitter page, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities.”
Naira Marley has returned to Nigeria after a foreign trip, just two weeks following the tragic accident that claimed the life of his former signee, the musician known as Mohbad.
Naira Marley will now be joining his alleged associate, Samson Alubarika Balogun Eletu, widely recognized as Sam Larry, in detention.
Both will be facing inquiries from a 13-member Task Force assembled to shed light on the circumstances leading to the singer’s tragic demise.
