Popular skit maker and singer Isaac Aloma, widely known as ZicSaloma, has opened up about the lack of support from his family in pursuing his career in entertainment.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, ZicSaloma disclosed that his passion for music faced resistance from his four elder brothers during his formative years.

Recounting the challenges, he spoke of how his siblings would silence his attempts to sing in the house, even going as far as destroying his music cassettes to discourage his musical aspirations.

The entertainer shared that his family’s opposition persisted when he ventured into content creation.

Despite facing skepticism and antagonism from his brothers, ZicSaloma persevered and is now proud to declare himself “the chief cornerstone” of his family.

He said,

“It was only my mum that supported me. I remember when I was supposed to go ftoa competition in South Africa, I was supposed to go with two family and friends. So I took my mum, naturally, I am supposed to carry my siblings and I cannot. Because none of them have ever supported me. I went with my friends.”
