INEC says it is too late for anybody to pull out of the polls as it has released the final list of candidates.
According to Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, INEC Director of Voter Education and Publicity, it is too late for anybody to withdraw from the race.
“According to the Electoral Act, there is a time for withdrawal and that time has passed. We have published a list of candidates and on election day, these are the parties that you will see. It is too late,” Mr Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi disclosed.
Oby Ezekwesili had yesterday withdrew from the presidential race while pledging to join forces with others to ensure that the duo of the ruling APC and main opposition PDP fail at the polls. Her withdrawal also led to drama within her party as her running mate who doubles as the ACPN National chairman, Gani Galadima immediately denounced her and announced the party’s support for President Buhari.
