American born Nigerian singer, Mrcyu is set to make her debut

In March, Aituaje Iruobe popularly known as Waje took to social media to share her frustration and hint that she has considered taking a break or quit professional music.

The “So Inspired” singer said in the video: “It’s like I have ten things laid out for me and every single time, it’s always been my music, my music that is taking the bulk of my money.

“I am not willing to put money there anymore,” she said.

If this is your first time hearing the name Mrcyu, do save it in your memory as you will be hearing lot more from her in the nearest future. The Nigerian-American singer dropped her debut hit single titled ‘MRCY’, which detailed her struggle as an independent artists in February. The track which had strong vocals and catchy chorus was produced by 2flexing.

“Great song with nice lyrics, trust me she is ready to storm Naija music industry with some good music,” a fan said in reaction to “Mrcy”.

Mrcyu whose real name is Mercy Chukwunonso Udechukwu, is the youngest of seven girls born in San Diego, California to two Nigerian parents. After high school Mercy studied at Cal State University Dominguez Hills where she graduated with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology and Dance. The music video of “Mrcy” is expected to drop in April.
