Mobolaji Ogunlende emerges ‘Young Person of the Year’ at Lagos Youth Awards

The pioneer of Real Acts of Kindness (RAK) Development Foundation, a non-profit organization, Mobolaji Ogunlende has been named the ‘Young Person of the Year’ at the maiden edition of the Lagos Youth Awards.

He clinched the coveted award, beating other nominees in the category such as Nigerian football star and FC Barcelona Femeni forward, Asisat Osoala; comedian and activist, Debo Adebayo (Mr Macaroni); and entrepreneur and philanthropist, Quam Animashaun.

Ogunlende, whose unrelenting contribution to youth development in Badagry and Lagos State at large has earned him numerous local and international awards, was announced winner at the event held at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, on Sunday.

Receiving the award on his behalf, Dr. Ibidapo Fashina seized the opportunity to disclose a bit of the many philanthropic interventions embarked on by Ogunlende including the recent facilitation of the release of some inmates of Badagry prison, among others.

This year’s edition of the Lagos Youth Awards, tagged “The Working Tribe” recognised no fewer than 15 outstanding young people across different categories.

The award, which is designed to celebrate exemplary young people in the centre of excellence is an initiative of BBN360, a thriving media company based in Lagos, Nigeria, in collaboration with some youth-based non-profit organizations.
