Mixed Reactions As Naira Marley Releases New Single Months After Mohbad’s Death

Controversial Nigerian musician Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley has spurred reactions online following the release of his latest single titled “Wahala.”

Naira Marley released the single on Friday, December 29, 2023, roughly three months after the demise of his signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad. The “Soapy” crooner was entangled in a web of controversies after he was accused of having a hand in the unfortunate passing of his former protégé.

The singer is making a big comeback to the music scene with the release of his latest single but fans appear to be divided in their opinions. While some knocked Naira Marley, others said they’ve forgiven him.

@MosesSu59692608 tweeted, “Nar you get time to dey carry person for mind, me, I don forgive am.”

Another user, @Oma_Enyo wrote, “Na Naira Marley I cancelled, no be him song.”

Giving reason for streaming the singer’s song, @NoahNic0 tweeted, “we wan check smth first, make we know maybe e cast e sef for there.”

However, another tweeter, @shushi_el_kemo wrote, “for country wey hypocrites full.”

Another user, @AlaoLakoka wrote, “No evidence say na Naira kill am.”

@manlyk_Arthur wrote, “A lot people’s word ain’t worth nothing to them.”

@shaibuufedo2002 wrote, “Nigerians only follow trends, I talk say if Naira Marley and Zino drop song, this same people go stream am.”
