Meet Oluebube, 18-year-old actress and female version of ‘Aki and Paw Paw’

Being diminutive in a highly judgemental society like ours certainly comes with its fair share of challenges, but some outliers have proven that their size won’t stop them from achieving their dreams.

One of such individuals is fast-rising Nollywood actress, Oluebube Obio who has succeeded in making a name for herself in the movie industry despite her height.

Born on August 14, 2004, the Anambra-born Oluebube is considered the female version of popular comic duo, Aki and Paw Paw.

Oluebube, for one, doesn’t look her age. Though she clocked 18 last year, one could think she is a child. Like Aki and Paw Paw, Oluebube used her stature to bring herself a fame in the entertainment industry.

She frequently appears in comedies, which her voice, acts and characters usually gives funny presence.

In the entertainment industry, she has appeared in over 100 Nollywood movies, featuring alongside top Nollywood stars like Zubby Michael, Destiny Etiko, Regina Daniels, Mercy Johnson, amongst others.

Right from when Oluebube was in secondary school, she knew that she would make a good career as an actress, so she started combining her school and acting, but it wasn’t going well, so she had to leave the movie. After she finished her secondary school, she became a full-time actress as revealed in one of her interviews.

Oluebube’s success story started after a popular film maker and director Uche Nancy adopted her and started making her part of the majority of her movies. Uche Nancy became Oluebube’s mother and tutor, she was part of the people that pushed Oluebube to the limelight.

Oluebube is now arguably one of the most sought-after actresses that can play both adult and child roles.
