By When it comes to love, age they say is nothing but a number. This is the case of a 25-year-old Kenyan man who is about to walk down the aisle with his 85-year-old lover.
The duo’s love story is quite interesting. The young man, identified as Muima met the love of his life, Thereza, when he was searching for a house to rent with some of his friends.
Like destined lovers, they ended up renting her house and she often calls Muima, ‘my husband’.
Speaking about his love life, Muima who defied all odds to stick to his lover said he is happy with his choice.
“This is my choice. This is my happiness, as anyone else has theirs. Before pleasing others, first, please yourself and decide not based on anyone else’s opinions.
“The way she behaved and treated (me) pushed me to love her and though she is an old woman and in reality, she could be my grandmother but I love her,” the soon-to-be husband said.
Also basking in the euphoria of her newly found love, the bride-to-be who happens to a grandmother of 20 said her man loves her, and that love conquers all.
Muima said, “I have eight children and 20 grandchildren. According to my boyfriend’s age, he could be my fifth grandchild. He loves me and I love him. I am ready to put on the wedding dress and ring.”
Due to the unwanted attraction their love life got from the public, the couple insists that their love story is authentic and they have decided to get married.
As expected, some social media users frowned at the relationship citing the huge age difference. Others, however, applauded what they share.
