The Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo has denied threatening Igbo voters against voting for any party aside from the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of this Saturday’s guber election.

MC Oluomo, had in a viral video, threatened that Igbo people living in Lagos should not bother to come to the polls if they will not vote for the ruling party.

The video generated a stir on the internet and attracted the attention of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa who revealed in an interview with Arise TV on Friday that a “detailed investigation” has been launched into the video and condemned the “hate speech” made by Mc Oluomo.

Reacting to the backlashes to the video, the former transport union released another video on Friday to disclaim the allegations.

In the video, MC Oluomo, in the company of the said ‘Iya Chukwudi’, claimed that he was referring to the woman whom he bought noodles and other groceries from.

He also claimed that Iya Chukwudi was like a sister to him and that she was a good neighbour adding that he is always after the peace of Lagos.

He said, “Mummy Chukwudi is just like my sister. She was at the meeting where I spoke yesterday, and she’s the one I’m actually referring to, that Iya Chukwudi if you know you’re not voting for me sit at your home.

“All of a sudden, the next thing I would see is my video, going viral on social media, and people talking about MC everywhere. Please I’m always after the peace of Lagos. And if you look at Lagos, there’s peace in Lagos.

“Why will I say people should not come out to vote on an election day? Okay, if people do not come out to vote how are we going to get vote?”

The said ‘Iya Chukwudi’ also confirmed this saying that Mc Oluomo had been referring to her in the video and not to the Igbos and expressed surprise over the video that went viral on social media.

“I thank God I’m now a celebrity. Little thing we joked with has now made me popular. It was my daughter that called my attention to it on social media.

“I and MC Oluomo have been friends for ages. My people, there’s no iota of truth in what people are sharing on social media. MC Oluomo is my good neighbour,” she said.
