Liz Benson, Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, Dayo Adeneye, Jide Alabi, Tunji Bamishigbin To Feature In Return Of PALACE Soap Opera

After 20 years it was taking off the screen, Palace, a soap opera featured on African Independent Television (AIT) will be returning with some interesting alterations in casting.

Though the likes of Liz Benson, Jide Kosoko, Antar Laniyan, Dayo Adeneye, Jide Alabi, Tunji Bamishigbin will be returning to play their old roles, new artists like American based Sola Bamis, popular  fashionista and actress, Mercy Aigbe and celebrated veteran of Nollywood, Sola Sobowale, will be joining the cast in Abuja, the Federal Capital of Nigeria.

Palace, one of the major Nigerian soap operas that dominated the airwaves in the 90s depicted the life of affluence of rich families and the many challenges they faced in keeping up with their status, managing their affairs and making sure they stay on top.

Palace was aired on Africa Independent Television and directed by Tunji Bamishigbin and his co-producer, veteran TV director cum producer, Ralph Nwadike.

Termed the Return of Palace by film critics, one of the  soap opera director, Tunji Bamishigbin said the new series will test the creativity of the actors that will be returning and their own professionalism as directors.

“The return of Palace is a real test of any actor that returns  to play his or her role. It is a test of our professionalism. Trust me, Ralph and I know the arduous task ahead of us and we shall deliver to the admiration of  fans of this great soap. Now, the plot is thicker, full of twists, suspense and of course, new faces that are making their marks in the acting world. The fresh faces will show that we have never run short of talents but veritable platforms to showcase them and Palace is here to make that statement.”

The soap opera is expected to commence this second quarter.
