Like SOB Agunbiade, Rotimi Olowo and Rotimi Abiru also win 4th term bids in Somolu
The Lagos State House of Assembly seats for Somolu Constituency 1 and 2 have been won by the All Progressives Congress. This means Hon. Rotimi Olowo of Constituency 1 and Rotimi Abiru of Constituency 2 will both be returning to the Legislative Assembly for their fourth terms.

In Constituency 1, the INEC Presiding Officer, Professor Adebayo Otitoloju have announced that Olowo defeated his major challenger, Olawale Akanni of the PDP by polling 16,007 votes to Otitoloju’s 2,651 votes.
In a similar development, Rotimi Abiru of Shomolu Constituency 2 polled 23,444 while his major opponent, Babatunde Aleshinloye-Williams of the PDP got 7,221.

The results were announced by the INEC Presiding Officer, Dr Idowu Taiwo.
Rotimi Olowo and Rotimi Abiru were first elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2007. In 2011 and 2015, they were also both re-elected by the people of Somolu. This is their fourth sojourn to the assembly.
