Lewandowski makes debut as Barcelona beat Madrid in Las Vegas

Barcelona’s new striker, Robert Lewandowski made his debut for the club in a pre-season friendly against Real Madrid in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

All the Blaugrana needed to beat their fierce rivals was a goal from former Leeds United man, Raphinha who joined the Catalans earlier this month.

The Brazil international scored the only goal of the match in the 27th minute after he intercepted a backpass from Real’s Eder Militao to secure the heated El Clasico in favour of Barcelona.

Raphinha has now scored two goals in two pre-season games in the United States.

Captain Sergio Busquets was described as the main protagonist in the most tense moments during the clash, as he put an impressive challenge against Real Madrid players.

The absence of star striker Karim Benzema took a huge toll on the Los Blancos as they failed to register a shot on target.
