Legislative Aides Sack Lawmakers From National Assembly Over Unpaid Entitlements

Aggrieved members of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) earlier today evicted lawmakers from the nation’s National Assembly.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the legislative aides also stopped lawmakers who had arrived the Assembly earlier before the protest from proceeding to the Upper/Lower Chambers for today’s sitting.

A source in Abuja disclosed that PASAN members had over the weekend concluded plans to picket NASS over unpaid entitlements as they disclosed that most of them have ran out of option on getting their money.

The members were seen with placards displaying that the current Clerk of NASS, Mohammed Omo-Otolori must be removed from the office as he has not done anything about their plight.

More details shortly.
