By A nonprofit organisation, Laulat Global Foundation, has presented the first baby to be born on Christmas Day in Ikorodu, Lagos, with gifts.
The gesture, according to the community development-driven group, was in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, which is globally celebrated by Christians every December 25.
The presentation of gifts to the newborn and her mother was done at the Igbogbo Primary Health Centre, Ikorodu, on Friday, Christmas Day.
The new mother, Mujidat Ayomide expressed her gratitude to the organisation and offered prayers for its members.
Laulat Global Foundation, in August, erected a new borehole at Sholawon Street, Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Ikorodu area of Lagos, in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 6 aimed at ensuring ‘clean water and sanitation for all’.
