The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. ‘Lanre Fagbohun, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, met with the pioneer Management of Lagos State University International School and students of the school at the University Senate building, Ojo Lagos State.
The Principal of the International School, Tawio Odumbo, who led the students on the “Thank You Visit” to the University, observed that the establishment of the LASU International School has created employment opportunities for members of staff and an avenue to build world leaders.
In his speech, Odumbo expressed that the School commenced full academic activities on 19th September, 2016 and has been taking part in a number of quality training, teaching and learning programmes.
He further stated that the management of the school within the short time of its establishment have been attending conferences, workshops, seminars, both Locally and Internationally on curriculum development and information technology, in order to equip it with requisite skills to deliver quality education to the students.
The Vice Chancellor in his remarks commended the International School’s Principal, for his style of leadership and achievements within the space of time.
While praising Messers Ogayemi Sunmisola, a student of the school for being picked as one of BEST 45 Schools in a recent competition involving over One Thousand Schools .
Amongst the receiving team for the University was the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Prof. O. A. K Noah, Registrar, Mr. Lewis Akinwunmi Oladapo, Bursar, Mr. Adetayo Hassan and Acting University Librarian, Dr. [Mrs.] Dirisu.
