The Senate of Lagos State University has elected Prof. Wahab Elais Olukorede as the Deputy Vice Chancellor ( Academics) of the University.
The election, which took place today, Wednesday, 26th August, 2020 saw Prof. Wahab defeat the other candidate for the position, Prof. Ayodeji Abari, by 88 to 43 votes to emerge winner.
Prof. Wahab a Professor of Sociology, and Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences succeeds Prof. Olumuyiwa Noah whose tenure ended on Monday, 24th August, 2020 after serving for 2 consecutive terms of 4 years.
The election of the new DVC (Academics) is to be ratified by the Governing Council of the University.
