The management of Lagos State University on Monday , February 27th sealed a transportation partnership deal with Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA). The deal was to ameliorate the current hardships being faced with students who ply the Iyana-Iba to Iyana-Ipaja axis of the State.
The meeting was held at the Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room, main Campus, Ojo, Lagos State.
The institution’s team was led by the amiable Vice Chancellor, Professor Lanre Fagbohun who was present with some principal officers. The students were represented by the Students Union President, Comrade Olawale Samuel Kappo.
The LAMATA team was led by the Managing Director, Mr Segun Omotayo who was present with his team.
During the interactive session, Prof Fagbohun highlighted the importance of fast tracking the arrangements so the students can start enjoying the buses operations in the axis.
Both teams brain stormed on how to fine tune the operational activities of the buses belonging to LAMATA and how it will uplift the transport situation in the area.
A suitable fare was also emphasised upon by Comrade Kappo.
The transportation deal is yet among one of the latest developments being introduced by the Fagbohun-led administration which is focused on re branding and positioning the State varsity as a tertiary institution to reckon with in the country.[tps_header][/tps_header]
