Dr. Emmanuel Semako Gbesoevi, a lecturer in the Faculty of Education, Lagos State University, LASU, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Sub Dean of the Faculty of Education.
According to details obtained from his campaign poster by BlackBox Nigeria, the election is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. His campaign is anchored on the theme, “Quality Service Delivery and Educational Excellence.”
Dr. Gbesoevi is an academic with degrees from Lagos State University, including a Bachelor’s degree in Economics Education, a Master’s degree in Educational Management, and a PhD in Educational Planning and Policy.
He is a faculty member in the Faculty of Education, where he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students. Over the years, he has served on various committees and in different administrative capacities within the university.
An advocate for improved access to quality education, Dr. Gbesoevi has championed the “Don’t Deny the Child Access to Quality Education” initiative since 2014, leading educational forums at both local and national levels.
He has authored books and published scholarly articles in national and international journals on educational development and policy. He is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Early Childhood Association of Nigeria, ECAN, the National Association for Educational Administration and Planning, NAEAP, the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management, CCEAM, and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN.
