LASU 200L Student Defeat Lagos And Ogun Varsities Counterparts To Emerge Winner Of Rotary International DEWEF Schorlarship

Edet Polycarp Daniel has joined league of bright students flying the flag of Lagos State University among comity of tertiary institutions in Nigeria as he defeated others to emerge winner of the Rotary International District Education Welfare Fund (DEWEF) Scholarship.

The shining star, who is a 200L student of Botany Department, Faculty of Sciences defeated counterparts from both Federal and State-owned tertiary institutions located in Lagos and Ogun States.

The DEWEF Scholarship is awarded to brilliant students who have just completed their First year in the tertiary level (200L). Edet won under the District 9110 of the scheme.

His performance was a major feat as he had to compet with numerous students drawn from Federal and State tertiary institutions in the First Round.

Edet, while flying high the flag of the Best State University in Nigeria also came out thick after rigorous interview session lined up in the scholarship scheme.

Apparently proud of one of his brilliant minds, Professor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun eulogised Edet and immediately warned him not to rest on his oars.

He delivered the University Management congratulatory message to him for making the Citadel of Learning proud in such a competition.

Prof Fagbohun however added that other students should be challenged bu Edet’s feat as opportunities are open to all of them. He also enjoin them to blaze the frontiers of excellence in their respective fields
