The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 12 establishments across parts of Lagos State over alleged persistent violations of environmental regulations.
According to a statement posted on official handle on X, the enforcement operation was carried out on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
According to LASEPA, the affected establishments had allegedly continued to violate environmental regulations despite repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities given to them to comply with the agency’s directives.
Among those sealed was the Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, in Ikotun, which was shut over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with LASEPA directives.
Several hotels and entertainment businesses were also affected, including Thrillz Lounge in Ogba, Marvel Hotel & Suites in Igando, Keviz Hotel & Suites along LASU-Iba Road, DSN Hotel & Suites, Nico Hotel & Suites, Kobo Night Club and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge.
LASEPA said Thrillz Lounge, Marvel Hotel & Suites and Kobo Night Club were sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance, while other establishments were shut for various environmental violations, including obstruction of duty and failure to comply with the agency’s directives.
The agency said the enforcement was carried out in line with the Lagos State Government’s directives to ensure compliance with environmental laws and protect public health.
The General Manager of LASEPA, Dr Babatunde Ajayi, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public health and preserving the environment.
He urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to obtain the necessary environmental permits, comply with regulations and cooperate with the agency.
LASEPA said it would continue its enforcement activities across Lagos to promote a cleaner, healthier and safer environment.
