LASACO ASSURANCE HOLDS AGM AS BOARD WINDS DOWN
LASACO ASSURANCE PLC, a leading insurance company in Nigeria has announced to the public and its shareholders that it will hold its 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
LASACO PLC, formerly known as Lagos State Assurance Company Limited, is one of the founding legacies of Alhaji Lateef Jakande, a former civilian governor of Lagos State.
Now in its third decade, LASACO has grown considerably in size, business coverage, profits, capital base and assets with its operations spanning all classes of insurance and special risks business, high impact financial services and real estate.
The foremost insurance company has, despite the global Covid 19 pandemic, been consistent in paying dividends to its shareholders.
During a media parley, Mr Ridwan Osinusi, a deputy managing director of LASACO Assurance informed that the AGM would also afford the organization the avenue to announce the reconstitution of the company’s board following the end to the four years tenure of the current board.
He also states that new directors will be announced while the ones that will be retained will be made known to the public and shareholders.
In conformity with existing social distance protocols, many shareholders are enjoined to participate in the AGM virtually.
