New plans of the Lagos State Government has revealed that the popular Computer Village located in Ikeja will be moved before the end of 2017.
According to the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr Wasiu Anifowoshe, the relocation is aimed at reducing traffic gridlock being witnessed in the area.
Speaking at the Ministerial Press Briefing at Alausa, Ikeja on Tuesday, Anifowoshe stated that the current location of the popular market was residential.
He revealed that the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode led State Government had concluded plans to move Computer Village to ICT Park, Kantangowa in Agbado/Oke-Odo area of Lagos.
The Computer Village located in Otigba Street, Ikeja have been house to sales of mobile phones, gadgets and computer items for over a decade.
