Historical Moments At LASU As Institution Publishes First Annual Report (PHOTOS)

The Lagos State University has once again set a high record to contend as it publishes it First Annual Report. It was first displayed for public view on Monday, April 24th, 2017.

The unprecedented Annual Report 2016 was presented by the Special Committee to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun at the Conference Room of the VC.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the 248-page comprehensive report contained all the socio-academic activities that have taken place in the University for the last one year.

According to the Information, Press and Public Relations Officer, Mr Jeariogbe Olaniyi Sam, the annual report has been shared among other universities in Nigeria and about 25 universities abroad, including Washington DC.

The Special Committee which compiled the report was headed by Prof R. O Okuneye. Other members of the Committee includes; Dr Bosede Amoo, Dr Charles Asenime, Dr Henry Hunjo, Dr Ayo Ayodele, Mrs Olanrewaju John, Mrs Oluwakemi Akinrile, Mr Jeariogbe Olaniyi Sam and Mr Hokon Olusegun.

Mr Jeariogbe briefed that among the events captured in the annual reports are; Ready Set Work Project, First Distinguished Guest Lecture, Conflict Resolution Seminar, Quality Assurance Committee’s Programme, the LASU Excellence Award, and Alumni activities.

In his speech, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Fagbohun revealed that he was overwhelmed after going through the report and praised the Committee for the work done and promised to make the new development continuous.

He also stated that the Annual Report has internationalised the Citadel of Learning which was adjudged as the Best State University by the NUC.

In appreciating the efforts of the Committee, the VC gave his autographs to the copies of each members as he took pictures with them.
