The Lagos State Police Command has inaugurated a 13-man special investigation team to probe the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who died on Tuesday at the age of 27.

The team will investigate the circumstances surrounding his death and identify everyone linked to it, according to the command.

The late singer was a former signee of Marlian Records owned by Azeez Faashola, popularly known as Naira Marley.

However, it has been alleged that Naira Marley and his record label was behind Mohbad’s death.

But, after Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley took to his Instagram page and described him as “more than an artiste or signee but brother and dear friend” to him.

He also posted a video of the late singer on his Instagram handle with the caption, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. Rest in perfect peace my broski 💡 🕊. I’m shattered 💔💔#Imole’sWorld💡. Got u forever bro”.
