Lagos State Gets Approval To Begin Construction of Lekki-Epe Airport

The Lagos State Government, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday announced that the State had gotten approval for the Construction of the Lekki Epe Airport from the federal government.

The Governor disclosed this at the Lagos Economic Summit, themed; “#Ehingbeti2022, feeling excited about the opportunities and how they will transform Lagos”.

Sanwo-Olu said #Ehingbeti2022 is a forum for all stakeholders in the Project Lagos to exchange ideas and chart a path towards accelerating sustainable economic growth in Lagos State.

He said the announcement is part of a series of milestone achievements he will be announcing at the 9th edition which he declared open today.

Meanwhile, the theme of this year’s summit captures all that has been done in Lagos since the first edition of Ehingbeti as Lagos State is an economic powerhouse and hub, not just in Nigeria, but also in Africa.

He added that the approval was personally handed over to him by Honourable Minister Hadi Sirika.
