Lagos Police Arrests Two Shop Burglars, One Cult Leader In Ikorodu

The Lagos State Police has arrested two suspects who specialized in breaking into shops around Fashola Close, area of Igbogbo, Ikorodu.

The two serial burglars namely, Julius Peter, 32years old of Akin Ogunlewe Igbogbo street, Ikorodu and Paul Ozurumba, 35years old of Block 3 Flat 7 Fashola Estate Bayeku Igbogbo Ikorodu were arrested on March 13, 2020, around 12 pm, following a sustained monitoring by detectives from Ikorodu Police Station.

The suspects were arrested following a series of shop breaking and stealing complaints received from shop owners. One of such cases was reported on 13th of March 2020 at about 9:50 pm by one Olamide Assau ‘m’ and Liasu Elizabeth ‘f’ all of No 57 Ashafa Road off Organelle road Igbogbo Ikorodu.

Items recovered from the suspects include a large number of electrical fence wires, clothes, shoes, bags, native ankara, laptops among others. Also recovered from the suspects are shop breaking implements. The suspects have confessed to the commission of the crimes. The investigation is ongoing, the suspects will be charged to Court.

In a similar development, the Lagos State Police Command also arrested on Segun Ariyo, who is popularly known as Sangalo, he was arrested on Friday, March 12, 2020

The 27-year-old suspect is said to be a vicious and notorious member of Aiye confraternity, who has been on Police wanted list for serial killings of rival cult members.

” His gang is responsible for a series of armed robbery incidents within ikorodu and its environs. An investigation is ongoing, the suspect will be charged to court at the completion of the investigation, ” the said.
