It was a perfect day and a perfect way to end 2018 for 47 year old Hakeem Muri Okunola as Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in the presence of esteem personalities swears him in as the 21st Head of Service in the state.
Among the personalities present at the swearing in ceremony were the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Senator Ashafa Baiye, Oba Saheed Elegushi, Folarin Coker, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, Honourable Babajimi Benson amongst other loyalist of Jagaban Borgu.
Meanwhile, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode immediately after the ceremony took to his Instagram page to congratulate the new head of service and expresses that he is confident in the capacity of the newly promoted.
“We are confident in the capacity, knowledge, experience and youthful energy of our new Head of Service to lead our State’s Public Service to become a role model for other public service institutions in Africa.” His post reads.
Hakeem, 47, an alumnus of the Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) was born in January 1972 which makes him probably the youngest Head of Service to be appointed in Lagos State.
He holds a Bachelors (LLB) in law from LASU and then also Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London, where he got his Masters in Business Law. He passed out of the Nigerian Law School in 1995.
