A nurse (names withheld) has been apprehended after selling a new born baby for N350,000 BlackBox Nigeria has gathered.

The health worker who is a staff of Trinity Clinic around Medan, Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos is reported to have misinformed the mother that she was delivered of a stillbirth, a situation which left the mother and her spouse helpless and sad. She further told them that she has also helped them in burying the baby to alleviate their grief. 

Unknown to the helpless parents, the nurse had actually sold their baby to a woman who lives somewhere in Ajah, Lagos.

Luck however ran off the nurse as it was gathered that a member of the parents family insisted on knowing where she buried the baby. The nurse was left without answers which left to apprehension. The police were later involved after which they interrogated the nurse.

She eventually confessed to have sold the baby for a fee. She later took the party to the buyer who has also been arrested.

A Nurse has been arrested for selling a newborn baby for N350,000 after lying to the new mom that she had a stillborn in Lagos. . . The incident happened at Trinity Clinic, along Meiran Rd, Ifako-Ijaiye and the girl was sold to a lady residing in Ajah. . . The nurse was said to have told the parents that she had already helped them bury the child, but trouble started as a member of the parents’ family insisted on seeing the corpse. . . Policemen were later involved and during interrogation, the suspect confessed to selling the baby and took them to the buyer’s house, yesterday, where the girl was retrieved. The culprits have since been detained at the Meiran police station.

The parents have however been united with their baby.
