Lagos State, the economic hub of Nigeria, has been named as the second most attractive city in Africa and the 19th in the world by Time Out, a UK-based media and hospitality company.
The company produces magazines and guides for various destinations around the globe.
According to Time Out, Lagos surpassed Accra, the capital of Ghana, which ranked 44th in the world.
The only other African city that made the top 50 list was Cape Town, South Africa, which came second globally and first in the continent.
The top spot was taken by New York City, USA.
According to Time Out, the ranking was based on factors such as culture, food, nightlife, community, and sustainability.
